Happy Birthday, Zahara!

Today is a very special day indeed. For it was on this day five years ago that a very special little girl was born: Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt! In honor of the occasion, here is a look back on the life so far of this remarkable little girl! Click “more” to read it!

My Favorite Jolie-Pitt Moments of ‘09

As you may remember, at the end of 2008, I did a post about the highlights of the J-P’s year…and there were quite a few of them considering that Knox and Viv were born that year! 2009, however, was a much quieter year Jolie-Pitt news-wise. So, since there wasn’t that much actual J-P news this past year, I have decided to share with you my favorite J-P moments of 2009 in lieu of a full-blown “year in review” post. I’m also trying out a new format, with the pictures centered and the text below them instead of beside them, as it’s A LOT easier that way. Enjoy!

2009 started out on a fantastic note for Jolie-Pitt fans: At the end of January, Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt made their first appearence since their introductry photos in PEOPLE magazine! The then six-month-old cuties were spotted out with their parents and siblings at Narita airport in Japan (the J-Ps were in the country for Brad to do promitonal work for and attend the Japanese premire of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button). A lot of people thought they looked just like Shiloh, but I was in the minority and thought that, while they DID resemble Shiloh at that age in some ways, they each had their own unique look about them.

Where did the baby girls go?! In early July, Angie was spotted taking Zahara and Shiloh to dance class. I couldn’t believe how big they were. All of a sudden, the baby girls were gone and in their place were two big girls! Also, how cute is Shiloh wearing soccer cleats to dance class?!

This is picture is from one of my favorite sets of pictures of the Jolie-Pitt boys from 2009. I late August, Angie, Brad, Maddox, and Pax were spotted picking up some new additions to the family in France….of the pet gerbil and fish variety, that is! Mad was also pictured holding a potted cactus in some of the pictures. A botanist in the making, perhaps? Anyway, what struck me about the pictures is how grown up the boys looked, particualrly Maddox, who had just turned 8. It’s hard to believe that big, grown-up boy was ever that tiny little 7-month old baby that Angelina adopted back in 2001! Pax also looked quite grown-up…and also like he was being bothered by either the bright sun or the paps (or possibly both!).

Who can’t love this picture? Miss Shiloh was seen shopping at Toys R Us with Angie, Pax, and Zahara in September, looking like quite the tomboy (and apparently into pirates) and sporting a missing tooth.

Who can forget this Jolie-Pitt moment of 2009? After close to nine very, very, VERY long months, Knox and Vivienne FINALLY made another public appearence. As expected, they had grown by leaps and bounds since the airport photos back in January. In another picture from the outing, it was clear that Viv is a mini-Angelina AND has pierced ears.

In early December, Jolie-Pitt fans were pleasently surprised to see Maddox accompanying his parents at the premire of the movie Invictus. This marked the first time we’d seen Mad at a movie premire since he joined Angie on the red carpet for the premire of her movie Shark Tale back in 2004. Doesn’t he look like such a little man in this picture?

I’d like to end this post with this picture of the J-Ps, taken right before Christmas. The family, minus Knox and Viv, was spotted at a Cafe in New York City. What I love about this set of pictures is that they couldn’t look more normal if they tried. What I mean by that is that they l0ok just like any other family you might see in a Cafe. There’s nothing at all about this picture that says “major celebrites”. Well, who knows what’s in store for the J-Ps in 2010. Perhaps an addition to the family?

Happy Birthday, Pax!

Where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday that Angie adopted him, and now Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt is 6 years old! In the two and a half years he’s been a member of the Jolie-Pitt family, Pax has experienced quite a bit. For one thing, the lucky little guy has already been to several countries! France, the Czech Republic, Kenya, Germany, and, of course, the United States are just a few of the countries he has visited! Knox and Viv- FINALLY!

After 9 very. very long months, the wait for new pictures of the Jolie-Pitt twins is finally over! Angie and Brad visited Licky Licious Ice Cream Parlor in Amman, Jordan, with the twins in tow. The shop owner was lucky enough to snap a photo of them (luckily, Angie and Brad look like they couldn’t be more happy in the photo, so it appears they were okay with it being taken.). Today, the eldest Jolie-Pitt child, Maddox Chivan, turns 8 years old! The little man has been through quite a bit in his short life, so here is a brief retrospective. Click the “more” tab to view it!

It’s hard to believe, but Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt are now 1 year old! Ironically, it was exactly one year ago at this time (the time I’m writing this, I mean) that I was scouring the web for confirmation of the twins’ birth after discovering strong rumors about it on various sites! I’ve included the story of how I came to find out the news at the bottom of this post. Anyway, I wanted to do a sort of retrospective on the twins’ lives so far, just as I did with Shiloh for her third birthday in May. However, there is, unfourtnately, only one set of candid photos of them (the Narita airport pictures). So, I’m doing mostly a retrospective on Angie’s pregnancy instead, along with a few notable events from Knox and Viv’s lives so far!  Please click the “more” button to view! 

J-P News and Rumors

I’ve been on vacation the past three weeks, and during that time I saw some crazy tab rumors about the J-Ps. First, however, let’s talking about my favorite J-P-releated thing discovered on vacation: A cover story in PEOPLE, finally setting the record straight! Basically, it was an extenstion of the denial of the break-up rumors by the J-P’s rep. Basically, they reitirated that all the break-up rumors are false.

As for the crazy tab “stories”….Thankfully, I only saw two (well, three, if you count a “Brad Pitt gets Naked!” blurb on the side of one tab cover, but that one just made me laugh because it just screamed “Extremely desperate tab!” to me!). One was a blurb on the side of a tab cover saying “Brad’s Vacation Alone”. Well, thanks to PittWatch and other reliable sites (including PEOPLE), we know that the J-Ps have been in LA for much of past month, and that Brad has not taken any vacations. Even if he HAD taken a mini-vacation alone, that hardly means he and Angie are splitting! The tabs need to realize that they aren’t glued or velcroed to each other!

The second one was even crazier: Lies and S&*t Weekly (a.k.a. Life and Style Weekly) recently claimed that the reason Angie has been “hiding” the twins and they’ve only been seen once in 100 some days is because they are “fragile”, and that now the J-Ps are enlisting the help of doctors to help the “fragile” babies. Here, in no particular order, my thoughts on it and the reasons it’s so crazy.

1. Why is it always Angie that gets blamed/accused of things? Also, up until this past month (June), it was primarily Brad who was watching the kids while Angie filmed Wanted. Therefore, wouldn’t it really be BRAD who was “hiding” the twins?

2. They pulled this same crap when Shi was a baby…only they claimed Angie didn’t bring her out because she loved her less than her adopted siblings and basically ignored her. Obviously they can’t very well pull that with the twins, as not only are they not the only bio kids in the family, but Shi has been seen out in the past few months just as much as the other three “big” kids.

3. Have the tabs forgotten that we’ve barely seen ANY of the kids for at least the last six months?

4. Have the tabs completely forgotten the fact that Knox and Viv aren’t even a year old yet? Very likely, the main reason we haven’t seen them out and about since the airport pictures in late Jaunaury is because they are still BABIES! Plus, remember the complete circus it was in the videos of the J-Ps in the airport with all the kids? I wouldn’t want to expose my babies to that craziness, either!

5. Obviously the tabs have completely forgotten that Knox and Viv looked completely healthy in the airport pictures (they even posted two of those pictures on the cover, succesfully contridicting themselves!).

6. Why do the tabs insist on picking on two innocent little babies?!

Today is a very special day. Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt turns 3 years old!  In honor of the occasion, here is a look back at her first three years of life!  Please click on the “more” button to view!

Cuteness Overload!

After a two-month “dry spell”, we’ve finally gotten some new pictures of the Jolie-Pitt kids! Not only that, but we get an extra-special treat, as we also get our first look at Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt since their debut in PEOPLE six very long months ago! The Jolie-Pitts were photographed walking through the airport in Japan, as they arrived in the country for the Japanese premire of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Here’s one photo, the rest are below the cut. Be for warned, the cuteness is so overwhelming that you may want to sit down before viewing (and you may want to avoid viewing these photos at work, as it’s almost impossible not to squeal and shriek with delight at the cuteness!)!

Happy Birthday Zee Zee!

Four years ago yesterday (January 8), a sweet, special little girl was born…Miss Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt! To illustrate just how far little Zee Zee has come, let’s take a look back at her life so far.

Zahara (seen here at the tender age of 5 months in her adoption file photo) was adopted by Angelina Jolie on July 6, 2006. Although Angelina adopted as a single parent, Brad Pitt accompanied her, and looking back it is now pretty obvious that, as far as they were concerned, she was THEIR daughter from the very beginning, not just Angie’s. Zahara joined her big brother Maddox, who was just a month shy of 4 at the time. Shortly after arriving back in the states with her new family, a very ill Zahara landed in the hospital, where she was found to be malnourished, dehydrated, and suffering from a severe case of samonella posoining. She ended up spending a week at the hospital, with her mother at her side. Happily, Zahara pulled through. However, things could have very easily turned out very different from her. The doctor who treated Zahara said, according to PEOPLE magazine, that Zahara would almost certainly have died of the Samonella posioning if Angie hadn’t adopted her.

 

 

 

 

Today, it’s very hard to believe that Zee Zee was once at death’s door. She now has an additional older brother (Pax Thien), and three younger siblings (Shiloh Nouvel, Knox Leon, and Vivienne Marcheline).
